Don’t be afraid of wetting your extensions in the shower. It is a common misconception that keeping your lashes away from water will make them last longer. In fact, clean lashes will last far longer than dirty lashes. It is crucial that they are kept clean and free of oil and debris. Not washing your lashes reguarly is unhygienic and has the potential to lead to infections and premature lash loss.
Clean lashes = long lasting healthy lashes
Opt for a silk pillowcase, it will make the world of difference to the longevity of your extensions.
Your lash extensions are attached to your own individual eyelashes and will shed as your natural lashes do. Maintaining your extensions will require regular visits to attach new extensions to your own lashes as your eyelash growth cycle regenerates new lashes.
If you ever experience any discomfort, irregular lash loss or have any concerns about your extensions please do not hesitate to contact me. Humidity, temperature and other factors play a large role in your lash adhesion, and although I do my best to maintain a steady environment in the lash studio, these things are out of my control and can sometimes impact your retention.
If you have experienced an allergic reaction please seek medical advice and have your lashes removed as soon as possible.
Lash lifting requires very little aftercare but it is important to note that the first 24-48 hours are crucial to the outcome of your lift. For the best results, please remember the following:
Elleeplex advanced gel formula is the perfect daily treatment to maintain optimum lash lift results and lash health, helping to eliminate frizzy hair whilst providing softness and shine to eyelashes and brows. Enriched with proteins, amino acids and vitamin complex ingredients such as Keratin, Arginine, Hydrolised Collagen, Allantoin and Panthenol.
Keep your brows dry for 24 hours. Moisture before this timeframe can cause a slight curl/frizz to the brow hair.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct heat or sunlight for 48 hours. Your skin will be slightly sensitive and should be treated as such.
Do not apply retinol or any exfoliating treatments to the area for at least 72 hours either side of your treatment.
Self-tanning products will negatively effect the desired result of this treatment. Please avoid these products on your face one week prior and 48 hours after.
Apply nourishing oil to your brows every day to keep them hydrated.
Brush your brows into place daily using a brow spoolie – after cleansing works best.
The less you wet, exfoliate or rub your brows, the longer the dye will last.
Using a brow styling balm/soap during the day is great for maintaining your lami as it grows out.
Apply a hair mask to your brows 10 minutes before hopping into the shower for an extra treat
Lamination: 8 weeks (minimum) to avoid over processing the hair.
Brow Dye & Tidy Up: 4 weeks
NOTE
It is normal to experience mild irritation and redness for up to 48 hours after your treatment. If symptoms persist, apply a cold compress to soothe your skin and seek medical advice. Please advise me if you have had an adverse reaction.
Please review the following information to ensure you have a pleasant waxing experience.
WARNING: if you are currently taking any skin thinning medications such as Accutane (within 12 months of use), topical acne treatments (e.g. Epiduo) or Retin-A creams please be aware that you will not be able to receive any waxing treatments. These products can cause extreme sensitivity. Thin, sensitive skin is more vulnerable to lifting, burning and sensitivity during waxing. Please consult your dermatologist for safer hair removal options.
After waxing you may experience increased sensitivity and redness to the area – this completely normal and should subside within 48 hours post treatment. If sensitivity persists, please apply a cold compress and seek medical advise.
Avoid exposure to extreme heat such as showers, saunas or steam rooms for 24 hours post waxing.
Do not apply makeup to the area for a minimum of 12 hours.
Minimise exposure to UV light for 48 hours. Ensure you are wearing SPF at all times to reduce the risk of sunburn.
Please do not touch the area – it is important that freshly waxed skin remains clean and free of bacteria.
Avoid perfumed products on the area.
Exfoliating products such as retinol, AHA’s or BHA’s must not be used on the areas for 48 hours before and after your waxing service. Using such products will increase skin sensitivity.
Hot Tip!
If you are prone to breakouts after waxing, apply antiseptic lotions such as Bepanthen or Tea Tree Cream to the area. ‘Bump Eraser’ is another great product that can assist with post-waxing breakouts and can be purchased from most chemists in the hair removal section.
