Hi, I’m Kate and I’m the founder of Lashed by Kate, a home-based beauty studio located in Toowong, Brisbane. My journey in the world of beauty began after a less-than-perfect experience getting my makeup done for a school formal in 2009. I was determined to make sure no one else would experience the same disappointment, so I enrolled in a makeup course and soon found myself working as a freelance makeup artist. My passion for beauty grew even more when I pursued a Diploma of Beauty Therapy, and honed my skills working at Ella Bache and other salons, where I really discovered my love for skincare, brows, and lash extensions.

After 6 years as a beauty therapist, I felt that the traditional salon environment wasn’t for me, and in 2018, I founded Lashed by Kate, where I started seeing clients after-hours in the comfort of my own home. The demand for my services quickly grew and I made the decision to turn Lashed by Kate into a full-time business!
